Ok, I'm putting a 428 into a 69 Mach1 that is a 4 speed car. There is no threaded hole on the side of the block to screw the inside z-bar pivot into. What is the solution to this situation? Has anyone else ran into this problem?

The FE uses a plate that bolts to the front side of the block`s bellhousing flange area on the drivers side, just above the oil pan rail. All FE blocks have two tapped 3/8" NC bolt holes in this location. The bracket has a metal stub sticking out, a nylon bushing slips over this stub, and is retained with a clip. The 428CJ cars use a thicker stub, & larger bushing than the 390 cars. As a result, the 428 Z bar is different than a 390 bar, as is the frame rail pivot. Do you have all the other 428 clutch linkage?------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA M/Stock 302 5speed.
