Wish me luck!Goign to get out one last time this year, before the snow starts. I think I'm going to jet down a bit as I'm running pretty rich. Also going to up the nitrous another 25HP to 150. I'd love to break into the 11's . If the car runs good, and I don't drive like a moron again it may be possible. I don't know though, I'd have to knock off .3s, we'll see. It'll probably just tease me with a 12.01. If it does, I'll have something to shoot for next year! Any tricks I can try with my slappers to help with traction? Any secrets to racing in cooler weather (should be about 45*)? B-loose

good luck racingand a noob nitrous question, would it not be safer to run a little fat when upping the nitrous shot, or can running too rich with a nitrous system be bad too (yes i realize that the kit will spray the extra fuel needed with the no2) also what kit do you have and how happy are you with it

I'm certainly no expert on nitrous either. I would agree that running a little fat would help give a little extra added protection from leaning out. But I think I'm running pretty rich at this point. Plus if everything is correct the nitrous system should dump in the needed fuel. I'm running the Sniper system. I think most people will tell you it's junk but it seems to be fine to me. Never had a problem with it. If it were a true race car and saw more spray time I would have gone with something else. But this is only the third time I will be using the system in over 2 years. For me it seems to be a great system for the money. B-loose B-loose

I'm sure you know this, but I'll just say it anyway - because your tires/track will be sooooo cool, you can't do too long of a burnout. Are you expecting to have any Sunshine on the track this afternoon? If so, that'll help.... but I'd recommend you do one of those "Postcard" burnouts...(good n'smokey) to give you the necessary bite or else you'll spin off the line in 45* weather. Let us all know how you do......... (lucky dog; some of us have had our local track closed for weeks already!) GOOD LUCK! Ryan

Typically the Grove does nothing in the way of track prep on these late fall, end of the year events. Been there and done that! Your BEST bet is to drive AROUND the water and do a couple of hard dry hops up to the line. Verify your snubber gap on both sides with you in the drivers seat and all of the junk out of the car. Good luck. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,& '04 First SS/MA in the TENS! When you say verify my snubber gap what am I looking for? See I told you not to assume anything. The burn out thing I got though, thanks, P.S. The only Junk I ever keep in my car is the Juice Bottle.

One inch on the right and 3/4 on the left. That's with your butt in the drivers seat.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,& '04 First SS/MA in the TENS!
