I know how you feel, I am the same about my family and my 65 Fastback. Have you had a chance to run it down the track for a 1/4 time? What mods have you done to the power plant, suspension, tranny etc, etc. Give up all the information I would love to know.

Ed,
You've got one B-E-A-U-TIFUL GTA!

.....but I've got to mention one thing, I noticed that old school, SINGLE reservoir master brake cylinder....it makes me VERY nervous.... I hope all your solid & flex brake lines are in nearly new condition.... I'd hate to hear about a failure @ speed!

Maybe consider upgrading to a dual-reservoir master brake cylinder - for you and your car's safety?

Ryan

Thanks all for the kind words.

Not to worry about the master. It has since been changed to a 67 Fairlane dual master. Thankyou for your concern though. As far as upgrades,

Holley street avenger 670 carb.
Edlebrock performer intake.
MSD ignition.
Comp Cams 268H.
3.70 Gear.

Looks GREAT. I never did understand why they went from 15 to 14 inch wheels during those years. You have done what they should have.

I thought that was the 14 and 15 reference... the ET's! Guess it's hard to get used to those numbers referring to wheel sizes in this age of 26" rims! LOL

Nice Fairlane, i like single master cylinders myself.

Hi Tom,

Thats an older pic, the master is dual now.

It also has Disc brakes. Stops on a dime and spits out a nickle.
