I'm going to be putting my 9" rear together real soon. Hopefully this weekend. I have used ford 3.50 gears and am going to be using a powertraxx locker. I have some 85w-90 mobil 1 synthetic gear lube already should I use it, or go with the heavier 85w-140, since it says that the locker will make less noise with the heavier oil. Or should I be using just regular oil dino oil in it?

If you're not concerned with the ratcheting noise, go with the lighter synthetic oils. Less drag equals more h.p. to the rear wheels.
