I've been looking at HV waterpumps for my 351c and was wondering if anyone has tried the Edelbrock pump? Thanks

I haven't and don't even klnow anyone that has. I do have an aluminum Weiand pump and an aluminum Milodon pump for my cleveland. I prefer the Weiand pump, it seems to flow better (motor ran 10-15* cooler with than with the Milodon pump), plus it looks nicer. I need to buy a waterpump for the clevor I just bought, and right now I am probably going to buy a Weiand pump for it also.

What would the weight difference be between the alum and stock? Also being that it's aluminum assuming it flows the same how much heat would the pump itself dissipate over the iron?

It`s not a Cleveland, but I`ve been very happy with the Edelbrock water pump I put on my 428 FE Fairmont a few years ago. A stock FE iron water pump is quite heavy, about 20 lbs, the Edelbrock is half that.I know the 351C pump is not as heavy, but the aluminum should still be about 1/2 the weight.------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA M/Stock 302 5speed. I have an Edelbrock (Summit # EDL-8843) water pump on the 342" stroker in the Fastback. Looks, weight, and performance/quality were my reasons for using it. ------------------ Bernie Frank 66 Fastback restomod (12.8 @ 112mph) 85 GT (preserved) 2000 SVT CONTOUR

I have one on the 351C in the Pantera. Seems to work just fine. I liked the impellor design compared to the usual paddle wheels. Just like we were taught in turbomachinery design. I have one on the Mustang's 5.0L as well. It had a leak right away but I replaced it with another and it's been fine ever since. Dan Jones

I have one on my old SB Chevy. It worked fine when new. It definately saves a couple pounds but I didn't have a hot running motor where I could notice the cooling difference.
