He said they were 389'S but not sure. Is there a way to check the gear ratio (if it doesn't have the tag)? Is it possible to get 389's in an 8"? He got it from a friend and used them for a few months but didn't like them on his daily driver so he went to 280's. He doesn't want hardly anything for them but I really don't want another part that I am not going to use. Anything in particular that I should look for...he said that they were quiet and trouble free and have been sitting in a box for the last year with a little surface rust...will that be a problem? How much would it cost to put in a traction loc? Any info or links will be much appreciated. thanks tomstir

Devide the number of teeth on the pinion into the amount in the ring gear.
