I also have been given these guys: http://www.cobracountry.com/southern/home.html Very close to me and a friend at work bought a 408 long block from them and liked them.I will look at their shop, and also talk to others. Im less worried about price and more interested in service and expertise. ------------------ '68 coupe, '66 289 C code engine, edel 600cfm carb, performer intake, dual exhaust http://www.geocities.com/ottouk_77/68mustang.htm

Garry Grimes, in Alpharetta, long drive for you but I've heard great things about him.

You might also (I thought they actually had a machine shop along with their store) try Barnett Racing in Atlanta. They might be able to pinpoint you in the right direction. Alot of nice guys there and a good many of 'em have been around a while. Luke

Hate to say this but....DO NOT use Barnett's machine shop. Just take my word for it.Be sure to check their prices on parts, sometimes cheaper than Jegs or Summit. My Edelbrock heads were $100 less at Barnett. [This message has been edited by ccode67 (edited 10-26-2004).]

Stuart Are you saying its OK to buy their parts, but not to use their machine shop?I can take your word for it - I dont need to hear the horror story... ------------------ '68 coupe, '66 289 C code engine, edel 600cfm carb, performer intake, dual exhaust http://www.geocities.com/ottouk_77/68mustang.htm

They have very competitive prices on parts. They carry just about everything Jegs and Summit do, plus you can pick up in person, but then sales tax comes into play, 8% in Atlanta city now. I don't know for sure, but I think they closed up the machine shop, just as well, they were getting a poor reputation for the quality of their work. Theres always Jon Kaase in Winder. $$$$$ ------------------ Stuart MCA #48902 M&M #1091 67 stang 5 speed, 351W, Edelbrock Performer RPM package my photo page
