Have my new spal fan and am wondering whether I'm missing something. Does the fan frame touch the radiator or is there rubber bushings that should be in between. There's four holes that look like something belongs there and it doesn't seem right to have the fan directly against the radiator. Thanks, Don ------------------ 68 Mustang Coupe New engine

Mine does and has no rubber in between. I had my own mounting brackets. RAY ------------------ CRUISE NIGHT WEB SITE http://www.geocities.com/phillycruisenite/ NEXT CRUISE 4/23/05

Hi Don, I just got my Spal fan which I will be mounting next week. Mine is going on a 66 Mustang. The way I intend to mount it is by making thread spacers. The bolts that hold the rad to the front panel will be removed, and I am going to put the bolt through the panel from the front through the rad then into the spacer. The spacer will be machined to sit slightly higher then the rad, then the fan will bolt to them. When I get it done next week I can post some photo's.Steve

Well I have mounted the fan, and it seems very firm. If you want to take a look at how I did it Click Here as they say
