I have a freind who restored a 64-65 ? Fairlane. He has a 428 in it with 9.5-1 compression. The cam all I know is a 590 lift solid flat tappet. Heads are Edle. RPM's, Intake is a Performer RPM, four speed tranny. This is a street driven only car. He installed a holley 850 dp on it and is having problems with it loadind up when idleing around town. He changed jets from 80 square to 76 front and 78 back. He said when crusing around 40 mph and mashes the throttle car car revs good and accells great with no smoke. When he is crusing at 10-20 mph and mashes the throttle it bellows smoke and kind of bogs. I'm going to take a look at it for him tomorrow. I suspect Power valve any one else like to offer advise.------------------ 1968 coupe 351W, Bored.030,Stock Crank, Stock Rods,Decked,KB Hyper. flat top pistons.
