What is the average cost of a Chassis Dyno run? I'm looking to basically just get a baseline and maybe a pull or two after that to make a timing or jetting change if they are off. The shop I talked to said it was $150 for a baseline and $75-100 a pull after that. That to me seems really high. I just want a simple pull, nothing fancy. ------------------ 1982 Ford F100 2wd Shortbox. 357 Cleveland with TRW forged flat-top slugs, rods reconditioned w/ARP bolts and fully balanced. Thats about what the going rate is here in Nevada at the Mustang Ranch for a simple pull. Really base line runs are about $100-125 and follow up runs $50. ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. My Pics

WOW! That much?!?!?I have a buddy here who has a chassis dyno, and his prices are less than that. He charges $65 for a baseline test, which is however many pulls you can do in a half hour, or $80 for 45 minutes, and that includes computer monitering (not sure if the baseline does or not, but I would guess not.) 1 hour of dyno time is $100.

man that dyno is high as a kite. i got 45 minutes for $75 a couple years ago (with my old motor), and the guy wasnt even a friend of mine, but the dyno was nice. even had a/f meter and we squezzed a few horses out with 1 more degree of timing and found the carb wasnt opening all the way. to be honest it made me feel good that i got the carb and timing so close just tunning by ear and timeslips. then again it sucked that there wasnt a lot more power to be had.------------------ coupe, 306, 4 speed, 4.11's. pump gas, n/a street car. best so far is 7.55 (1/8 mile) at 92mph with 1.64 60ft. time.
