What is a divorced choke on a holley?
Are they a decent holley or should I give it a miss?

A divorced choke refers to when the choke thermostat is not housed on the carb, but usually on the intake manifold. Those are used often on old Buicks, Pontiacs, and Mopars. Most Holleys have the 'integral' choke, which sits on the passenger side of the carb.
