I was wondering what coolant you guys are running for open track events? Do you use any additive for waterpump lubricant? Any of you use Red Line Waterwetter? Mixture ratios etc. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what you're saying when you say, "open track events", but.....my home straight-track (dragstrip) rules request that any trailered car NOT use any antifreeze in their coolant system because if you blow a hose or somehow leak it onto the track, it's much more difficult (meaning it takes a more time) to clean off the track. I do know many trailered cars run straight water.

Personnally, I use distilled water and add RED LINE Water Wetter....but I don't have any testimonial as to it being better than straight water. I guess I'm hoping that the RL WW will extend the life of my water pump and seals as it advertises...

Good Luck!

Thanks Ryan....thats what I'm using as well. The open track I'm referring to is driving at speed on a road course...like in vintage racing. Take care.
