in my search for headers for my 4v 351C..i found that FPA makes headers for a fair price.. but how is the quality on these headers???

anyone ever used them????

their asking 450 for chrome plated and 650 for coated..sounds ok to me..

I have them, they fit perfect, look great, and are holding up very well. Mine are the nickel chrome, 351W in a 67 with z-bar clutch linkage.
Thick flanges, stepped tube, ball type collector.
Talk to Stan, he knows his stuff.

If memory serves me correctly, aren't all FPA headers the "shorty" type headers? For the street, that's probably fine; but for that last HP at the dragstrip , you'll want long-tube headers.........yeah, long-tube headers hang lower, make more heat at the floorpan and are harder to install with clutch linkage, but the long-tube headers make more overall power.

GOOD LUCK!
Ryan

I have them, build quality is very good and fit is excellent. They are shorter, but I wouldn't call them shorties. Pic is in my signature. I was concerned with power also but Keith Kraft put out 620hp thru a 408w with the same step header. Hope to have my car at the track in the next couple weeks and will post results.

FPA headers are top notch.... I've known and raced with Stan for many years.. True Ford fanatic that knows his stuff... They have some pretty fast motors and cars out there.... JUST NOT AS FAST AS ME!!!!

Actually i corrosponded via E-mail with Stan.. ..due to his fair price and reading the good reviews here, he's awaiting my order

i just have to save up some money, i got a large order coming in over 2-3 weeks for the Stang/Cleveland..(among them finally,my fiberglass 3"Dominator hood!!!!!!!can't wait to see how that will look on the car!!)so that'll drain me for sure,..but it's a long time to go before next season!!

thanx guys!!

I just installed a set on my '69 351w last night. I have power steering and a clutch linkage. Fit is very good and they don't hang low. All welds look like they were TIG welded. They are very high quality units.
