Just raced my fairlane with the new 351w in it. just curious as to what kind of ET I can expect if I had gotten better traction. Through the mufflers on 12" M/T street tires (not DOT slick) babying the launch (18-2000 rpm on a 3000 stall) maybe 1/3rd throttle and slowly givin her gas until full throttle just into 2nd gear I ran a best of:60ft- 2.12 ET - 12.93 MPH - 109.1 using a couple of horsepower calculators(one based on ET, the other on MPH) I got: ET based= 292.1 rear wheel MPH based= 324.4 rear wheel so I'm just curious what I could expect for an ET, and what is the relationship between MPH and horsepower in this case... I assume my MPH wouldnt go up as much as my ET may go down? thanx ron

I was running very low 12's with 109MPH. I mean like 12.00's. Best of luck.------------------ 351c 4v clsd heads 60'1.53 1/8 7.09@94 1/4 [email protected]

I'd say low 12's MPH is based on power and the ET is base on how well the car is setup.------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. My Pics

I raced Ron a couple weeks back and I ran my best time against him running a 13.74/99mph. I could not believe how fast his car was accellerating at the top end. cut a great light and we raced to the line were he blew past me. I think the car can reach the low 12's. He had no traction and wheel hop. Roger------------------ 65 comet project 84 T-bird 289/C4 13.74/99mph street/strip www.avdra.bc.ca Made in CANADA built for speed #1145

-- Most race calculators require two of the three factors (ET, MPH and total weight (car + driver)) to determine a close prediction.
GOOD LUCK! Ryan
