When your car was in black primer what primer was it? did you have problems cleaning it ect? did it start fading on you?i've found PPG's DP90LF black epoxy which i'm gonna shoot at the car sometime soon, just wondered what your experiences were with the flat black? ------------------ 1974 Gran Torino(351W/c6) My Page shooting for 14's when it's done getting primered

Thats the same paint I used. I was told it's a sealer primer so it was better at keeping water out. I would only wash the car when I had to. My car was parked inside all the time. And yes it still faded BAD. There is away to add some black paint to primer to make it so it does not fade.

allright, thanks for the infoyou still have the old pictures of the car somewhere? or one that shows how bad the fading ended up? if you do could you e-mail them to [email protected] read on the spec sheet it's not tintable other than with other DPLF epoxies, so i'll just have to deal with the chalking [This message has been edited by Dubz (edited 08-28-2004).]
