Ok, a few questions concerning the timing gears/chain.
How will I know how far to tap the crank gear back ? will it just come to a stop?
Do I need to run a set torque figure for the crank and cam gear bolts ?
Should the timing chain have equal amounts of tension each side?

The back side of the crank gear is radiussed just as the crank snout is, creating two matched mating surfaces; when it's home you'll know it. Cam gear torque is about 30 ft/lbs IIRC, harmonic balancer bolt 100 ft/lbs. I use red loc-tite (the strong stuff) on the cam bolt; just remember that you did. If down the road you need to disassemble, just warm up the bolt head with a soldering iron or propane torch to allow the locking compound to free up prior to hitting it with an air ratchet. There will be ~some~ slack on the timing chain on the right (passanger) side as you spin the motor in it's counter-clockwise rotation
