Been in Gainesville since their inception, the track looked different back then if you just don't recognize it in pictures.

The reason for my question is I was told my recent purchase of the '65 fastback mustang drag car was seen at the 1975 Gator Nats so I am hoping to find more info or pics.
I did find the following: Body...2+2Fastback,Standard Interior
Color...Twilight Turquoise Metallic
Trim...Black Crinkle Vinyl StandardInterior
Date...June 23 1965
D.S.O....Boston
Axle...2.80:1
Trans...3-Speed Manual
I talked to a guy,Tim, sat.morn who owned it in 1980.He traded a rolling chassis dragster even up for the fastback also a roller,in Madison,Wisconsin.Tim wanted the motor,a Jack Rousch sb and the DN trans but the guy would not part with either.I have to call Tim back in a couple weeks to get the name of the guy who had the'65.Tim also said he had seen the car run at Union Grove drag stip.Soooo the search goes on.
Thanks
popeye
