I have a 1971 ram air hood but it is not sealed to the carb it has a piece of aluminum sheet metal with a hole so that the hood closes aroud the carb probably 1" space aroung the carb. My Question is should I make something up to seal this hood to the carb to get the full effect of the ram air? and do you think it will make that much difference? I am currently running 12.8 at 103mph with a 1972 mustang 351 Windsor.
