My current seat belt/harness has date of manufacture of Sept. 02 I know it's 2 year replacement, but is it legal till the end of Sept 04 or Sept 1st.
Also I've heard starting next year Y-belts are not legal in NHRA don't know about IHRA My RJS 5052-16 belts are not lited as a Y-belt, but they only have one tab attaching them to the roll bar, the shoulder straps are sewn together right in front of the tab.
Will this type be legal or do each shoulder strap need its own tab?
I've also heard they are going to a 2 year replacement on jackets also, sure hope this one is only a rumor!!!
Thanks!
Roger

Good questions,

I think the Date Code is good 'til the end of the month.

I also think the Y belts are being disallowed next year, but the V belts are ok. Either way if you have one this year they will allow them until they expire. G'fathered in so to speak.
