Have you looked at the Ford Six Performance site? I also saw something on one of the magazine sites in the their tech section. I was searching out some AOD info and saw it but didn?t read the article. It was under something like the top 10 restomods for classics.

What are you wanting to do with your six out of curiousity? Are you planning on using some of the OZ parts? Or keeping it basically stock?

blow it up... so i can through in my other 6 and blow that one up and then put the 289 out of my fairlane and blow that up then a 351w blown and run under 10sec in the 1/4. jk well ive came to a good conclusion cant get as much power as you can an 8 torque is there but that is it. i get in enough trouble as it is with the cops with an inline, after i grow up a bit an 8 is an option. i did pretty much everything you can do to hook up my engine with doing machine work bc i dont think it is worth it. i have pretty good scrounging technics too so it help me out abit. as you can see from my profile i just put on a two barrel carb well actully im in the process now. i have some clearance issues and throttle linkage issues. im in no way trying to bash anyone with a hipo 6 i think it is cool as hell it is just that parts and such are too expensive for an oz head and manifold you could spend as much monay for an intake carb and aircleaner setup for an 8. and everything comes from australia and shipping is a pain. v8 parts are cheaper and there is an abundent supply of them inline parts are getting harder and harder to find everyday. right now im trying to adapt a chevy chevette 2 barrel aircleaner onto my holley weber. bc it was the lowest cleaner i could find and i got it for 3 bucks at the u pull it.------------------ 1966 mustang coupe 200ci, 3.03 3 speed tranny holley weber two barrel conversion, msd 6a ignition, blaster 2 coil, pertronix, 2 inch exhaust to a glass pac, stock rear (3.20),ram air install complete (homemade) white w/ black interior, soon be painted antique bronze with the R model apron and gt350 hood scoop (functional)

Wow, lucky the six banger set can't afford weapons,eh! I used to have a 65 Falcon convertible with a 200, weird 65 Canadian-only engine with 4 main bearings like a 170. I stuck nitrous on it yet never blew it up, broke all the rings and woofed the ring lands off the pistons but still drove it 150 miles home from the track like that! LOL Oddly enough i didn't keep the original 170 in my 64 Fairlane, opting instead for it's close cousin the 427 High Riser.
