Since I've been cruising around alot and mostly waiting in traffic. My car will idle alittle more rough and idle down alittle if I rev it up it seems to go away, for a some time. And it I don't rev it and just start driving it kinda of hesitates then runs great. I have not changed anything on the motor. Don't know why it just started to do this ?I'm thinking maybe a PV ? Other wise it runs and idles good, only if it sits at idle for sometime does it act up. Any advice ? ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. Just sounds like it is loading up at long idles. Couldn't tell ya how to fix it though. I'm still trying to get up the nerve to mess with mine.

It sounds like it's loading up to me also. You need to lean out the idle mixture. You have a holley right? Try to adjust you idle mixture screws a little leaner. Is your ignition powerful enough? I seem to remember that your cam is not too radical....so you really shouldn't have this problem. Also make sure that the idle air bleeds are not blocked...

Last idea, you may wish to pull the carb and see if the throttle plates are into the idle transfer slot. What happens here is your pulling fuel from the idle transfer and then you have to lean out the idle screws. Idle effect WOT believe it or not. How many turns out are the idle screws?
Les ------------------ http://www.geocities.com/wildfire1mustang/ wildfire466 said it best. I found a little headless screw under the secondary diaphragm that opened up the secondaries to increase idle without opening the primaries. Hope this helps. Charlie

I leaned out the A/F mixture alittle it didn't help. The car starts and runs great, until it idles once it's warmed up. Then it does the rough idle and idles down alittle. Once I rev it or drive it, it goes away for a short time. The only thing I did was change the fuel filter with the same model. I have not had the time to clean air bleeds yet. I can't think of anything that would have blow out the PV. Except maybe when it was at the paint shop ? ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. Can you look down into the carb while this bad behavior is happening? Is fuel drooling from the boosters?
