I converted my 700cfm Holley to the ProForm main body and man, I can tell a huge difference in idle quality and throttle responce. Haven't had a chance to get back to the track to see if it made any improvements or not but it feels much stronger on the bottom end. Has anyone had one of these flowed to find out what cfm they actually flow at? Here are some pics of the new carb http://65.171.234.52/bart/updates6.html

I'll be interested in your carb report. It is a pleasure to see someone fabricating linkage and air pans and so on. Too many people these days give up when they can't just buy something.John

I have fabricated most of the car actually. Have a look for yourself. I have said it before in posts, hot rodding is about creativity and ingenuity not credit card statements. Thanks for the kind words. http://65.171.234.52/bartI just noticed you live in Lakewood, beautiful area out there, I lived in Aurora for about a year. Loved it out there [This message has been edited by ntman (edited 08-04-2004).]

I like Cougars too. Have you found out yet how wrong your Chevy statement is? 30 years ago there was a lot more hot rod stuff for the Bow Ties but there is not much difference today.I find it interesting that the fast small engine guys in Comp are paying 3 to 4 thousand dollars for a short deck block that works better for 300 inch motors. Ford came out with the short deck small block in 1960. It seems when the Chevy racers get serious they make their engines more like Fords. John
