Topic: How wide of rear tire can I use ?

The tires I'm looking at are around 8-9" tread and 10-11 section width will these fit on a stock 8" with 7" wide rims and 4.25 back spacing ?I want to go to better tires and maybe wider tires too. Right now I have 245-60-14 which are 8" tread width. ------------------

Hey Scoop. I've got 29x18.5x15's mount on a set of Welds that are 16" wide. I still have another 4-6" of clearance under the car for more tire.... Somewhere there is a chart for tire/wheel sizes for our classic's. I will see if I can find it for you.
