I have posted this info before with a different question but was wanting to get some horsepower guesses and suggestions on changes. Specifically cam recommendations. My goal is to get this motor to push my 67 Cougar into the 7's consitantly. Thanks in advance

Into the 7's? is that the 1/8 mile?

I'd guess closer to 350 than 400. Personally I prefered to go the same lift and duration on both the intake and exhaust. With a good port job or aftermarket heads I don't really know that more lift and duration on the exhaust will be a big help. I really like the cam I have from Isky. It is

Grind No./Type
FL-378 SOLID Strong mid?range performance. Lopey idle. 2500 RPM Stall. 3:70?4:11 axle ratio. 650?750 CFM Carb. 10.5:1 compr.

EXT .030 ADV

INT 254?
EXT 254?
Lobe Center 108?

I think there is a misprint though because the .050 duration is 250*. This cam works really well with my AFR 195's. Motor pulls strong to 7K and is still very drivable, at least with my 3K rpm stall. With that cam and my AFR heads I think I'm in the 400HP range. Also, I do run 1.7 rollers with mine.
