I recently purchased this'65 stang roller at a swap meet in Wisconsin .I's backhalfed & tubbed with ladder bars and old koni coilovers on all four corners(front also),pinto rack and pinto upper & lower A-frames,all steel body except for the glass hood and snorkel scoop...ya I know they're outdated but they were the $hit in the seventies. The car has an old looking NEW England Draygway decal in the back window and in the center of the decal is a dragster...Also,under a light coat of yellow paint, the rest of the car is a copper color,on each door is the name Jim Peters.Another hint of history is chassis builder by the name "Smith Bros. race cars chassis and components"Any help is appreicated. popeye ------------------ This is FORD COUNTRY, where on a quiet night, you can hear a chevy rusting

Isn't Smith Bros another name for Wolverine Chassis? Car looks like a worthwhile project. You could always put the firewall and tunnel back to original by cutting one out of a parts car.

also... That car has obviously been a race car for a long time. do you have a VIN #? It needs pretty thorough checking as it could be just a 6 banger car converted to a bracket car in the mid 70's or might be an original AFX car raced since new and worth a ton in original shape.

Tom,I don't know of them where is or was Wolverine Chassis located ?There is tag on the door but none on the top of the aprons as they're long gone ! I trailered the car to Cordova Dragway Illinois fri and sat for the Fastest Street car Nats, which is 45 minutes away from home, and just left it on the trailer(without a 4 sale sign on it since it's not for sale) but set up for the swap meet. Had a LOT of people check it out but the coolest thing was when a guy from Florida told me he saw the car at the Gator Nationals fifteen years ago but with less stickers but he said was "I remember the words " HOME OF THE BAD ASS"He recommended contacting Don Garletts, said he most likely could help and may even have pics. popeye ------------------ This is FORD COUNTRY, where on a quiet night, you can hear a chevy rusting
