What is it? Anything special or plane jane? Any value? Has approxmately 80000 miles and runs ok. Needs valve guides. TIA

Sounds like a run of the mill 72 429.
Ford no longer produced any "special" 385 series engines after 1971. Some police packages had better heads, but that's about it.
