Does anybody use a slipper clutch like the "Titan" for strip use and lite street? I don't know anyone running that set-up. Why not run a torque converter that mulitplies tourqe while it's "slipping"? SteveW

Steve... A torque absorber? Bah A sintered iron disc with low enough pressure to not shock the tires runs a fine edge between grabbing and slipping enough to wear itself out. You'd have to know when it's slipping too much and adjust it right away. I'd stick with a stock type disc and pressure plate if you plan to drive it a lot.

Buy some slicks or something like an ET-Street or Hoosier Quick Time Pro for track use. The soft, wrinkle walls will help absorb the shockloads your stickshift produces. You'll be able to launch the car at WIDE OPEN THROTTLE at REDLINE if you want.
