Well... I'm looking at building up a 351 for my Aussie Falcon GT replica, and looking at aiming for about 400 horse at the flywheel... so my question is, is it going to be easier with a 351W with aftermarket alloy heads, or a 351C with iron heads?? What sort of specs would i be looking at?Ben

What engine do you already have? If you are starting from scratch, do the windsor. If you already have a cleveland with the quench chamber 2V heads or the quench 4V heads, use the cleveland.

Well... the car has a mystery 302C in it (oval exhaust ports, JH34 engine no?), but its my daily transport, so i figured I'd pick up a base engine and go to work... Will a balanced and ARP bolted stock (351w or 351c) bottom end deal with 6,500 or 7,000rpm?Ben

Since your in Australia I would go with the Cleveland. I am sure you can pick one up for cheap over there and easily get those HP numbers out of even a mild build...7,000 on a Cleveland easily. Ask Kid Vishus what he twists his up to

Seems like people are starting to ask silly money on clevo bits down here (What you pay for a set of 4Vs closed or open, is getting close to 2nd hand Windsor alloys, and then you've got to rebuild the head!)... and i kinda figured a 351W would be lighter?
