I've considered putting a Cobra motor (preferably the S/C) in my '65. I am planning on using the Fatman's Fab '02 front suspension upgrade. I think that this should give me some room for that motor. I've only found one place so far where I can get one readily.Does anyone have the demensions of that motor? Where are some places that I can get one? Thanks, Kirk.

Heres an idea: http://www.vorshlag.com/pictures/motor-4.6-4V-004.jpg Not sure if these are correct, but here are some dimensions as well: http://realbig.com/detomaso/1999-10/343.html Last edit I think, but Stangparts.com has one for 3,750 99-00 4.6 DOHC (No S/C)[This message has been edited by Mooney (edited 06-24-2004).]

If it were me, I'd do Rod and Custom (http://www.rcmotorsports.net) Mustang II Coil Over. The Fatman kit DOES NOT remove the towers and the Cobra engine is very wide. The Fatman also ends up costing big $ as you have to scrounge your own suspension and brake pieces. I just did a ton of research on it and am finishing RC kit install now. Sounds like fun project though. I have 472 in my 67 and I have an S trimmed 97 Cobra.------------------ 1967 472 Prost D1X FBstang 1997 Cobra vert S Trim 2004 F150 4x4 Crew FX4 www.mikemustangs.net

I'd stick with the Fatman setup, you can trim as much of the shock towers out as you need as there is only the top of the struts inside that need clearance. The Mustang II could be a real problem with oil pan to steering rack clearance and you don't want to raise the engine just to clear it.
