I have a need to toss out the C-4 and go with a Stick. My setup now is 377C Solid roller closed chamber heads. Recently dynoed 428 HP at the rear wheels. 9" 411 gears 4 linked coil overs. Mustang II front end. ProStreeter Can I install a T-56 on my car. If so what are the cons or issues in doing this swap? I think the T-56 can handle the power. What say you guys?

I'd do a TKO, new TKO-500 or Richmond. The T-56 would need a huge hunk taken from your transmission tunnel and the 1st and 6th gear would most likely be useless to you. The TKO may need a small shave too to fit in your Falcon. The T-5 will bolt in, but wouldn't handle your HP (unless you get a G-Force T-5). I'm taking out C6 and installing TKO in my BBF, Prostreet 67 Stang now.------------------ 1967 472 Prost D1X FBstang 1997 Cobra vert S Trim 2004 F150 4x4 Crew FX4 www.mikemustangs.net

I agree there, a T56 is very big and quite heavy too. First gear is OK but with a solid roller 6th will only be useful with 6.50 rear end gears or when over 150mph. The TKO 600 has a 2.87 first gear which would be better suited to the car.

Thanks guys, I will check out the TKOs. I did not realize that the T-56 was so large.
