Big D I had good experience with the one that I built. My Chevy buddy had even better luck with it. He liked it so much he paid me $300.00 for the carb.(I put it togeather with spare parts that I had). The 428 needed more air than the 750 would pass. I'm running a 830 now. You will have some fitting to do around the base plate especially if your plate has the vac power brake port. A little grinding and tweeking and they work great. They even supplied non-stick gaskets and 2 size larger jets.------------------ Glen 67 GT 390 65 Galaxie 500 XL 4 Speed It was not a Red Light they gave me a Slow Tree I WAS NOT LATE the Tree was Fast

don, i got one and i cant complain about it. i cant brag on it either. it works fine but i think the claims of more horsepower are a bunch of bullcrap. if you were running a terrible carb and switched to the proform, you would probably see a big gain. but if you already have a decent carb, you probably wont notice much if any difference. but heck for $100 it looks cool,(just take the made in tiawan sticker off of it!} has adjustable air bleeds and the 4 jets and gaskets you get with it are worth $20-$25 bucks!! ------------------ mike r racing is real everything else is just a game. 81 capri-302-7.33 @92mph 1/8 1.54 60 ft. http://www.angelfire.com/ny5/billswebsite/pg06.html

Hey, Two things about the Proform carb. Onetime I heard of a booster came loose and destroyed an engine. The other is I feel the adjustable idle air bleeds in the Proform carb is a big improvement. The reason I say this is cutting off the choke horn on a Holley can disrupt the air flow. There isn't a way to correct this unless you have the ability to drill the air bleeds. Anyways here is the deal, if you use a 650 vac carb and go to Proform you wind up with a 750 after upgrade. If a 750 is too much carb then do use the proform main body. You have to read the fine print and you see what I'm talking about. http://www.proformparts.com/catalog/carb.html Les ------------------ http://www.geocities.com/wildfire1mustang/
