I`m in the process of slowly gathering parts for my 393w (weekend street/strip) Maverick I want to use my Factory Grabber hood and according to my buddys on the maverickto.com message board I cannot use a Victor Jr.intake with this hood. Some have reccomended a Wieand Stealth...others say Performer RPM. The engine will use Victor jr. heads (ports cleaned up),about 10.7 to 1 compression, and a cam in the 570/580 lift 240/250 [email protected] (ballpark figures) the car weighs 3,070 ibs. with me in it. and has a 4.11 gear and a 3,800 converter. What intake do you guys think I should get? ------------------ http://maverickgrabber.iwarp.com

The victor jr is only 1/2 an inch taller then the performer rpm. I would deffinatly get the victor and port match if you could fit it. Gotta feed them cubic inches.

I'd say use the Victor jr see what it will take to get it to fit. 2nd choice the RPM,and last would be the Wieand Stealth. You could always add a scoop. ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. My Pics

On a 65 Mustang: - Vic Jr will not clear the hood - RPM close but air cleaner will hit unless its very low profile and has lowered base - Stealth should just make it with a lowered base aircleaner
