my 302 is blowing oil out of the dipstick and breather and is also sucking into the pcv. there is no oil in the water or water in the oil. I took the pcv out of the valve cover at idle and removed the dipstick and it is pushing white smoke out of all the openings even the breather. yes the valve covers are baffled. please Help as I am thing rings or blown head gasket. thank you

Poor ring seal is usually the cause of excess blow-by gasses. Combine that with a high volume oil pump and you have oil and fumes going everywhere. I can run my 331 wide open with the PCV removed and it still doesn't smoke or leak a drop. Sounds like your engine may need some attention.

the motor was used when we got the car 10 years ago and it was only started once every 3 months for the last 8 years. and I put it in my stang so I could build my 393 stroker for our red stang and now I am going thru a divorce. so she has my new motor. this bites.

Another possibility could be a broken piston skirt, this will let the piston rock in the bore, not allowing the rings to seal, will usally happen all of a sudden. High milage factory cast pistons crack pretty easy.

It's not a death sentence.. just means it's not tight anymore. The rings can sometimes get stuck when an old engine doesn't get ran much. Also the valve seals get hard and stop sealing like they should. It won't hurt to change oil and filter and maybe try a can of RESTORE. Run it awhile and see what happens. You can tear it down and freshen it up when you get bored.
