I talked to Isky today and they said that even though they can find nothing wrong with the cam I sent back they are going to replace it under warranty for free!!! I guess because the cam was so worn they couldn't get a read on the hardness of the lobe. So they said they'd give me the benifit of the doubt. They are also going to upgrade me to the lifters that have a hole EDM'ed in the bottom for free! I'm very impressed with the way they have handled this. When I break it in this time I'm going to pull the inner springs for insurance, though at Isky they didn't think that was a problem.

Got the cam today. I asked for it to be Next Day Aired to me Saturday delivery, I should have asked how much first. It was $80!!! Oh well, I was sick of waiting. The car has been in pieces for way to long. I pull the cam out and get ready to install it. No freeking pin for the timing chain!!! Now here I sit again not being able to get the car together. Is someone upstairs trying to tell me something??? I'm wondering if I ever get this car together if it's going to kill me? Ever see Christine???

Not really in a rush. It's just that it's June and the car has not been driven more than an hour since last fall. First it was the headers then the cam. Having them ship it regular UPS wouldn't have changed the fact that they forgot to put the pin in the cam (but I would have saved $70). Then I would have had the car down another at least one weekend maybe two waiting for the cam and then the pin.

I'm sure it's just an honest mistake but it's just my luck this year.
