Scoop the compression is 11.3/1 I only drive the car on nice days. It not a daily driver with those gears. At 50 mph it revs around 3100 rpm. I started out this spring with the car running 13.5 in the quarter mile. That was with street tires. Since then I've added Rancho adjustable shocks, Poly bushings in the springs, Clamped the front half of the springs, added the drag radials, and changed the vac secondary springs. I removed the front sway bar to get a better launch and have got the car to run consistently in the low 12.70's. We had a test and tune this past Sat night with some very cool and dry weather and got her to run 12.65 on the last run. These times are with the alternator, Water pump, and power Steering pump hooked the Crank. A Frind of mine who drags a 65 mustang told me to remove the power steering pump belt that it should be good for at least 3 tenths of a second. I'm real happy with the way it runs now. If I go faster than a 11.99 I'll have to put a roll cage in it. I don't want to do that ------------------ 1968 coupe 351W, Bored.030,Stock Crank, Stock Rods,Decked,KB Hyper. flat top pistons. Greg, you have a beauty. Do they still have the rod gathering in Hagerstown on Saturday nites at the Kmart? Do you ever get up there? I usually go to Mt. Airy's Jimmy Cone on the first and third Saturday evenings. Charlie[This message has been edited by MidLifCrisis (edited 05-31-2004).]

Charlie, they still have the rod nights on every Sat night, but they do it behind J.C. Penny at the Mall. Charlie, Last year my Brother-in-law, His wife, and my wife and I came to Mt Airy for one of your cruises. He had the yellow 70 Mach 1 with the 514 BB blower car and I drove his red 67 Shelby GT500. That was a fun night. We ate dinner at a little resturant close to there that had outside dinning and great food. Greg I saw that car. It was awesome! It was the first time I saw a blower sweat. Using alcohol, huh? It's great to put a real three dimensional car to a Poster on the forum. I'll give you a shout next time I head up to Hagerstown. Charlie [This message has been edited by MidLifCrisis (edited 06-02-2004).]
