Well, I was hoping to try my new suspension setting the Steve'66 has helped me with. Also would be my first race with an automatic transmission. The problem is my new Art Carr Converter does not fit. It looks like the converter was build for a mid-plate car. I have measured the distance from the block plate to the converter mounting surface and this is 0.96". I also measured the depth the converter sits in the bellhousing and this is 0.810". The converter is fully seated in the transmission. I measured from the end of the converter snout to where the large spine seat inside the converter and I get 1.620" but when I measure from the large spline on the transmission to the pump surface in side I only get 1.510". I am going to call Art Carr tomorrow, but if you guys have any suggestion please let me know.

I spoke with Alan at Art Carr today. They want the converter back. I give him all the dimensions I measured and he said some thing sound wrong. That means I ship the converter tomorrow it gets there next monday and maybe I will have it back that friday. There goes another weekend. I finished all your suggestion except for setting the Slide-A-Link as I want the trans in the car for this. But again that for the help on the susenpion set-up. I can not wait to try it out. I hope I can get into the 10's on the motor at least low 11's.

Oh well, while you're waiting you can put a cheap pair of 90-10 shocks on the front as Alex suggested. SteveW
