Alky-haul That's in the dragster. Before the BBF dragster I ran both VP C-12 and Sunoco Std in my 383W Mustang. Saw no diff between those two performance wise other than the VP costs more. In my 428, normally 50/50 mix of AV gas & Chevron unleaded premium. I have tried VP 110, &VP C-12, other than smelling nicer & costing MUCH more (C-12 at the track is $12.50 a gallon!!), the C-12 didn`t show any improvment over the AV gas/Chevron mix. In my 85 Mustang Stocker, I run Chevron Premium while bracket racing, but because a NHRA approved fuel is needed for running at a divisional or National event, I drain the tank & use C-12 for those events. I haven`t tried it yet, but supposedly VP C-11 is reported to work good in low compression, crappy head engines like mine, so I hope to give it a shot later this season. Oh yeah, it costs more than the C-12 too!! ------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA M/Stock 302 5speed. Alex, When you come to Grand Bend, bring your fuel with you. Race fuel (110 unleaded) at the track is about $11.50/Canadian gallon and more at the National Event. We'll look you up. We're running the No Box end of it again.

C-12 for me. I might try C-11 out later this year. C-12 seems to work fine but I have not tested anything else yet. I like to buy at the track to make sure the fuel will pass tech. Shawn

the place i work hired a new driver at a nearby plant and i was told he was big into mustangs and drag raced a 70. i got to talk to him briefly the other day and asked him what he was running...."aww, 6.20's. got a cleveland with yates heads...." i said wow, that on pump gas? "yep, pump gas". soon after he said "naw, not 93, it race gas." i just wonder how many people running the airplane fuel tell people its pump gas? does it count if you crank it out of a drum or siphon it from an f-18? i shouldve know better, kind-of stupid question. his heads alone probably cost more than my whole drivetrain, so whats $5 a gallon gonna hurt.------------------ 306, 4speed, 4.11's....best 1/8 mile 7.58 at 92mph with 1.72 60ft.
