Looks like my Pantera is getting the exhaust shown here: http://www.geocities.com/teampanteralongisland/Exhaust1.html It's for C302B heads on a 9.2" deck block. Primaries are 2" in diameter, collector is 3" in diameter as are the intermediate pipes. The intermediate pipes Y-off to 4 individual (2 per side) straight-through stainless mufflers. The ports on my C302B heads are only 1 3/4" diameter but flowed 230 CFM (w/o a pipe) at 28" pressure drop on a Superflow bench. Is there any benefit or drawback to running 2" primary pipes? The engine will be around 410 cubic inches and 11:1 compression. Dan Jones BTW, the guy that makes the exhaust has them on his street-driven 1100 HP twin turbo Pantera (C302 heads, Fontana block, injection, Schubeck lifters).

I wouldn't think so. My 357 inch motor responded real well to 1 7/8" primaries, and in reality, probably could have used 2 1/8" primaries. If I ever build a stroker motor, it's getting at least 2" tubes, and hopefully 2 1/8" with a 3 1/2" collector.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm glad to hear it since the 2" primaries will allow me to use a back-up longblock with A3 heads. They've got larger exhaust ports but the botl pattern is the same.Dan Jones

> look great good luck jim1320Thanks! > I can't help you with your question. But they look great and thats one nice > car. The one pictured with the exhaust isn't mine. That one is owned by Mark Basile but has the exhaust I intend to use. My car is pictured at: http://www.bacomatic.org/dan/Dans_Pantera.jpg I also thought about these 180 degree headers that are on a friend's car: http://tpoc.socalpantera.com/md_engine.htm He pulled 464 RWHP with a hydraulic roller cam (specs are wrong on the page, it was 245 degrees @ 0.050" lift and 0.612" lift) and a 377C with C302B heads. > It must be a blast to drive. It truely is. It just begs to be driven at grossly illegal speeds. > Do you find most people don't what kind of car it is ? Yes. Lots of questions asking if it's a Ferrari, Maserati, or Lamborghini and the occasional "what kind of Volkswagon is that?" Most are surprised to find it's a 30 year old car. Dan Jones

Dan I knew that wasn't your car. His car is cool too. I've always liked the Pantera. A Volkswagon
