Installed rearend/shocks/brakes/caltracs last night and not sure I installed the caltracs correctly. The instructions said thread the rear of the link about 5 threads and then thread onto the front until the rear hole lined up. Seemed easy enough but with the car off the jacks the caltrac has a lot of presure on top of the spring. The instructions seem to state that there shouldn't be much presure, where did I screw up? Also tried to mount in the top hole per the instructions and could not as the spring rubs the front mount. I'm guessing I can just grind a channel in the end of the spring to stop the rub but opted to just mount in the lower hole as most out here some to be running there anyhow. Should I try running in the top hole and grind the spring and see how it goes before going with the bottom hole? Last here's a pic of the install. I put the hex end of the link to the front but the picture in the instructions looks like it'in the rear. Do I have the link in backwards? thanks, don ------------------ 68 Mustang Coupe New engine

Don,Put your floor jack under the center of the rear and jack the rear up to about normal ride height. Then everything will look better and fit better. Don't grind anything. After you get them close put the car on level ground and place your weight in the driver's seat before final adjustments. SteveW p.s. You won't want to jump the car with CalTrac's on.
