The one with the FoMoCo script appears to be the milder of the two. More suited to street use. The other appears to be an early trans am dual quad intake. Mores suited for higher RPM. Both use backwards mounted 4160 Holleys.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,& '04 First SS/MA in the TENS! I thought that was only done on big block engines? http://members.shaw.ca/lui1966/2X4ad.jpg

JohnNice pieces there! The one on the right in the head on shot will give better street performance with the carbs mounted backwards. The repro 427 linkage will work. Mounting them backwards gives more distributor clearance and puts the primaries closer to the center of the engine for much better fuel distribution... of course if you run wide open throttle all the time that's a moot point

I ran something similar (289 ci), purchaced mine from Maire Racining here in Cali. I used (2) 600's and tied the vac together. Sealed off the rear vac chamber so it would pull from the front one. I had 4 different jets on the primary sides of the carb.I feel the intake will produce a bunch of torque. Lot's of tire smoke from my car. Let us know how it works! Small blocks with Holley carbs also.
