Closed chambers should have a better chamber design and quench area. Open chambers should flow better do to unshrouded valves. It's probably a wash between the 2 on power. I have always run closed chamber heads and Kid Vishus usually runs open chamber heads with great success. My best advice is, run what you have. The 2 heads would need different pistons to optimize the combo. That being sayed, you can build a strong running engine with either head.
