Got a great deal on a sollid roller cam for the early 302. Unfortunately no documentation except lift and duration. I've heard sollid rollers don't need the typical 30 min break in at 2500 rpm's. Any suggestions? Almost ready to fire it up!!! Also, went with new rings and bearings while I had it apart.

Thanks, Robert

They say to soak the lifters in oil overnight before you install them. Not sure if it matters with solid or hydraulic but I did it on my solids.

No break-in, just prelube and fire it up. Hope you selected some quality valvetrain parts.

After a good sound check and a warm up it's a good idea to recheck springs, rocker geometry, slot clearances, and valve adjustments.

Valvetrain has all been upgraded to match the solid roller cam (new springs, pushrods, even new screw in studs, keepers and retainers)...Thanks, I knew you guys would have the answers on break-in...
