ok, so here's the next Ford making noise....(must be the weather???)

this is the 466BBF ranchero that i showed you a while ago.. it was supposed to go an the dyno and it did......it's making 457bhp and no torque measured....his sparkplug cables were to thick,...his equipment wouldn't fit around it.... so it's running good!!

but after the dyno it started to make a knocking/rattling noise...and started to become worse this weekend on the way home from a meeting...

it is more like a tapping/rattling noise.. it's only there when the engine is under load (acc...) when cruising ,is there but not very noticeble.. and going up when the revs come up..the funny thing is, you can hear it when you're in the car, but cruising at 10mph you can hear it in the car but nothing from the outside leaning out of the car..

any suggestions????

thanx

Ben

Have you at least pulled a valve cover to have a look?

Common problem for the 385 engine is broken piston skirts.
