are the rules more lienient in the gt classes. alex, i know you have to run the old autolight carbs that came on your car in the ss class. but for instance robert burgin in his 2001 forebird can run a new holley. never seen a 01 bird with a carb on it from the factory!! if this is true, it just dont seem fair!!------------------ mike r racing is real everything else is just a game. 81 capri-7.33 @92mph 1/8 1.54 60 ft. http://www.angelfire.com/ny5/billswebsite/pg06.html

Yes! As does the car Johnny Moore is driving. GT cars are late model bodies with early model engines. Early rules apply to the engine and trans. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,& '04 First SS/MA in the TENS! Mark, you're combination is safe for now. The -1.15 rule for the AHFS only applies to National Events. It's the -1.40 rule that is for Opens, Divisonals and Nat'ls. ------------------ Mike Carr Stock Eliminator NHRA AF/S 1302 IHRA BF/SA 18 Street ET/Street Automatic/Modified/Pro/No-Box 1302 E-mail: [email protected]

The 10 year old axle would not hold up any longer. Things break at the wrong time on a race car all the time, but I had fun. We have a new SS/D record holder The Johnson 67 Fairlane, Great runs Stephen, Horace would you help me do some suspension work some time? The Fairlane was leaving on the rear bumper every run. great job men !!!! Everett------------------ NHRA & IHRA SS/K SS/L SS/M record holder from time to time

Great job Everett, Your car is very fast in any class. Sorry to hear about the axle you now have me wondering about mine. At the USCN you told me my car should run 10.70's anywhere, I think I'm close but you keep re-setting the bar LOL. ------------------ 1964-1/2 Mustang SS/L 289 4-Speed, 10.633 @ 124.83.
