HELP! I have a pretty good opportunity to buy a set of these heads cheap. The problem is I know absolutely nothing about them so any help would be appreciated. Also any idea what it would cost to have heads machined for say 1.94 intake valves and and 1.60 exhaust valves.

Probably just a set of 68 Ford Truck heads. Not sure what their flow rates are or anything else along those lines though. Unless theres something special about 'em I dont know about you can pick them up around here at the local pick and pull all day for about 80-100.

Alex, I don't honestly know what that means or what it is supposed to be. I could get a set of uncracked C8TE heads for 25 bucks so I just wondered if they were any good, but at this point I've decided to give up on the 351W for now......LOL anyway I can buy a 302 for $300 with about 7500 miles on it. If anyone one else has a good 302 or 289 for that matter that they want around 500 for please contact me. I want something with low miles (less thank 60k). Recently rebuilt would be great. Thanks

I'd keep an eye on e-bay, when I was looking for a 302 they had a 289 built to K-code specs solid cam and all for 500 bucks, lacking exhaust manifolds and pulleys, otherwise complete. Good luck to you!
