Whats it run to get axles machined? I think I'll only need about 1-2 inches off 'em but was just looking for a ball park figure for when I start calling around to see whether or not I'll be getting a good deal or not.

Call Moser,

Two new axles are only $350 or so. I'd guess shortening yours would be less than 100 each.
