I am thinking about getting some replacement connecting rods for my 393W project. I have a set of 302 DSS Pro F/T pistons, but they are press-fit only. So, I need a set of rods, stock length, press-fit, that can handle 550-600hp, 6500rpm max.I looked at Eagle SIR, but they say they are rated up to 500hp. Now, from all the research i've done, stock rods w/ ARP bolts will handle 500hp, so why bother upgrading to SIRs?
Finding a stock-length rod isn't a problem, it's finding one thats good and strong, and isn't bushed (and is under $400)!
Suggestions?
