I agree guessing 50-75lbs. maybe ccode67? can chip in what his 9" was weighed for shipping.
Although that does not seem like much weight just wait till you have to catch one coming out of the rear while laying on your back or trying to line it back up to go in by yourself! Much easier having a buddy to line it up while you lift it back in

75 pounds exactly for my 9" with strange n case, detroit locker and daytona support that just arrived today.

If you order from mae racing be prepared to wait a little bit. Mine was suppose to ship in 10 days, it took 72 days and a lot of phone calls at that.

Apparently they aren't real happy with the motive gears they were selling and have changed to strange but are having a hard time getting them. Actually don't mind being delayed as I'd rather have the strange gear anyhow.

9 inch weighes 72 pounds, shipped in a heavy box with mucho padding. 8 inch won't be much lighter, maybe 5 pounds. Shipping cost from Everett Wa. to Atlanta was $48

An 8" isn't anywhere near as heavy as a 9" ,it's maybe 50lbs.

I saw a Pro Stock guy weighing theirs... 39lbs! That's aluminum case and spool, lightened gears, titanium yoke, etc.
