Summit has a sale on shocks going on (4 for 3 deal). My question is should I get the Ranchos for the front instead of the Summit shocks? If so what part numbers? For my '69 I think I need 99204s for the rear (is this correct???). Not sure for the fronts. Thanks, Scott

Scott how much are the shocks ? Does our 69 and my 65 take the same rear shocks? If so maybe we can go in on it together and split the savings.------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. My Pics

Steve, that was a concern... Unfortunately, it's a 4 shock for the price of 3 deal. Scoop, I'll go in with you on the rears if you're interested. Find out which shocks you need and I'll order a set of rears for each of us. This package deal will save us each $40 or so...

I was also guessing the 9204 was the 99204. I need the same set as you do whatever the number. Any input from those with better number knowledge than Scoop or I???

Just did a quick search and found two things.1) It is the 99204. 2) Alex sells them. Alex is the 4 for 3 deal from Summit a factory rebate that you can match as well??? If so, I know where I'd rather send my money...

Me too I think the 9204 is the old number but when I searched on Summit they sell both 9204 for $75 and 99204 for $83 ?

The old 9204 only has 5 settings, where the 99204 has 9 settings. The new ones are worth the extra 8 bucks. SteveW

Scott what ever is better for you. Or I could just go by the Summit store/warehouse which is 10 miles from my house. Pick them up and ship two of them to you ? I go there all the time anyways. ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. My Pics

Scott, It's cheaper to have them shipped and avoid NV state sales tax since shipping is free. SteveW

Good point Steve I wonder if they will you ship two of them to a different address. Tax would be about $19 and then we still have to ship two of them.------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. My Pics

The 3 for 4 deal happens alot, maybe not at summit, but almost every dealer of rancho i know has a 3 for 4 sale almost every/every other year.obviously isn't that special of a deal, or your getting ripped off lots when you buy the shocks at regular price....which you probably are. But saving money is allways good, just don't jump on it thinking your passing up a once in a lifetime oppertunity [This message has been edited by Dubz (edited 03-31-2004).]

Scoop, do you make it across the hill very often??? If so, it probably makes sense for us to pair these up. If not, I occaissionally make it to Tahoe and could arrange to drop them off in Truckee where you could pick them up at your leisure. I checked online and pay not tax shipping to the California. There is only a $9 shipping and handling charge.Let me know if you want to do the deal...
