Well, since I got this new engine to play with, I'm wondering what everyone else built and the times you're getting, if you don't mind sharing.

Here's mine:
-DO Block .030 with oil restrictors
-stock crank
-stock rods with Pioneer bolts, magnafluxed, polished, shotpeened
-28 ounce balance with stock dampener
-.210 dome speed pro forged pistons (pressed pins)
-C9 heads with 1.94/1.60 valves, ported, milled .050
-ported Holley Street Dominator intake
-crane solid flat tappet: 252/260 .572/.591 108LS
-crane energizer rockers

Motor went a best of 11.18@118(circa 1992) in my '67 mustang@3100lbs. After some further suspension work it went 7.02 in the eighth. Motor had steet miles plus several hundred passes on the track. It's retired now but still all together and sitting in storage. Last time I ran it about 4 years ago it still would run 11.40-11.50's with about 20% leakdown. Wish my Clevor would have stayed together like that windsor did

Simple,

Just add a 100# roll bar, a 9" rear instead of a 8", subframe connectors, 75#s of ballast, 4 row copper radiator, etc. And leave everything else stock. I'll have to weigh it again, it could be 3200#s with my "big" driver.

Well, neither of these are mine, but both currently reside in my cars, so I'll post them anyways.

Both are .030 over, flat tops on stock rods, zero decked blocks, both have a flat tappet Comp cam, (242/246 duration @ .050 .541/.522 lift 106 lsa), both run Victor Jr intakes, 750 dp Holley carbs, locked out timing at 34*. The one diference in them is the motor in my racecar has ported World Products iron heads (55 cc chambers), and the KK's motor has ported '69 W heads that also have been milled to 55 cc's.

The motor in my racecar (4.86 gear, 32x14 slicks) has gone 6.58 in the 1/8 with my really loose convertor shifting at 6000, and KK's has gone 7.55 in the 1/8 shifting at 6200 in my '70 stang (probably weighs around 3500 lbs) and it has a 4.11 gear and 28x10 slicks.

All times are ET (US)
